Educational Assistance Program
Tuition assistance is available to all regularly scheduled employees who have completed six months of continuous employment prior to the date on which an approved course begins. Tuition assistance is limited to $2,500 per fiscal year for full-time employees and pro-rated for part-time employees based upon their scheduled FTE at the time of enrollment. Employees are eligible for reimbursement for courses taken that are related to the employee's work or designed to prepare the employee for increased opportunities within the hospital. Courses must be taken at an accredited school, college or university that is approved by the Educational Assistance Committee. Employees may apply for educational assistance by submitting an "Education Assistance Program" application to their immediate supervisor no later than two weeks after the start of a class. Applications are available in Human Resources.
Educational loan programs
Loans are available for targeted positions in the medical field where there are known shortages of professionals. Loans are forgiven after a pre-determined length of employment at the hospital has been completed.
