Pre-Med Academy at Baptist Health Floyd

To assist area students in their medical career development and to foster relationships with future physicians, the Baptist Health Pre-Med Academy accepts up to 10 high-performing students.

Benefits of the Baptist Health Pre-Med Academy:

• See if medicine is for you! Shadowing physicians and working in different specialties gives you an idea of what it is like to work in different healthcare settings.
• Gaining experience in the field gives you a unique perspective for your future interviews and application essays.
• Mentorship! Network with providers in the Floyd medical community, who could become mentors in the coming years.

Near the end of the summer program, all participants and their families will be invited to join hospital leadership and medical staff for a recognition reception.
