Interpreting Services and Services for the Blind
In compliance with Title VI as well as our mission to provide quality care, Baptist Health Hamburg is pleased to accommodate patients and their family support persons who do not speak English as well as patients who are deaf or hard of hearing.
For non-English speaking patients, we provided interpretation for more than 280 languages and dialects through a contracted phone/video interpreting service as well as on-site interpreters when needed. We also have on-site sign language interpretation for patients who are deaf or hard of hearing. These services are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and are offered at no cost to the patient.
In addition, we have accommodations for our patients who are blind or have severe eye conditions. Interpreting information and resources for the blind are available house-wide. Nursing staff can be of assistance in accessing these services.
