Behavioral Health Screening & Diagnosis
The first step in getting help for a chemical dependency problem is an assessment or screening which leads to a diagnosis and treatment.
Baptist Health provides confidential assessment by professional staff members through our Chemical Dependency Recovery Program.
The assessment (usually about an hour long) involves a discussion of many factors including:
- Presence of medical or psychiatric conditions that may affect treatment
- Previous treatment experience
- Support of family, friends and employers in the recovery process
