Baptist Health Richmond welcomes new board members

New members join the administrative and Foundation boards.

 

RICHMOND, KY (March 21, 2023) – Baptist Health Richmond is welcoming new members to the administrative board of directors and Baptist Health Foundation Richmond board of directors.

 

Colleen Schneck is joining the hospital administrative board of directors. Colleen most recently served as the interim dean of Eastern Kentucky University’s College of Health Science until her retirement in 2022. In addition to serving on the Baptist Health Richmond administrative board of directors, Colleen is involved in Central Kentucky Riding for Hope, a Kentucky Occupational Therapy Foundation. 

 

“I am so excited to welcome Dr. Schneck to the hospital board.  She brings a unique perspective as a clinician and retired EKU faculty member.  She understands the challenges we are facing in today’s rapidly changing environment, and I know she will offer remarkable insight on ways we can advance our mission in marvelous ways,” said Greg D. Gerard, president of Baptist Health Richmond. “Her passion for wanting to make a difference is evident and it’s an honor for me to have her serve alongside us.” 

The Baptist Health Foundation Richmond is welcoming the following members to the board of directors – Jane Clouse, Mendi Globe, Catherine Holbrook, Schuronda Morton, Dr. Doug Owen and Ronda Taylor. 

 

“We are honored to have such incredible community members assume these critical leadership roles within the Foundation,” said Kari Martin, foundation director at Baptist Health Richmond.  “Their heart for our mission and the patients we serve is truly admirable.  I look most forward to working alongside them to grow and transform – through beautiful generosity – the care and services provided at Baptist Health Richmond.”

 

Jane Clouse is a graduate of Eastern Kentucky University where she received a bachelor’s in business administration and a master’s in arts education. She retired from Eastern Kentucky University’s department of English and the Madison County Board of Education. In addition of serving on the Baptist Health Richmond Foundation board of directors, Jane is the co-founder of Kentucky Middle School Mock Trial Program.  

 

Mendi Goble is the former president and CEO of the Richmond Chamber of Commerce and was recently elected to her first term as a City of Richmond Commissioner.

 

Catherine Holbrook, married to Ian Holbrook, MD, is a graduate from the University of Kentucky. Catherine was formerly a human resources executive for Target before raising her three extraordinary children full-time.

 

Schuronda Morton retired from the Fayette County School System after working 40+ years. She is currently the senior director of leadership, chief of staff and leadership coach for Fayette County Schools. She is active in her church, local philanthropies and contributes to the community by volunteering. 

 

Doug Owen, MD, retired after 35 years of service to Baptist Health Richmond. He has had a vast career in public service on county, state and federal levels including the Richmond Chamber of Commerce.

 

Ronda Taylor attended Berea Community High and Eastern Kentucky University. She is a retired business owner of Subway, working with the company for over 33 years.
