Paint the Town Pink presents check to support cancer care services
Paint the Town Pink recently donated $40,000 to Baptist Health Foundation Richmond.
Richmond, KY, (April 28, 2023) – Paint the Town Pink recently donated $40,000 to Baptist Health Foundation Richmond to support the expansion of cancer care services at Baptist Health Richmond. This is the first gift of a very generous multi-year commitment, made by Paint the Town Pink, to support a new Cancer Center.
Paint the Town Pink was established in 2009 to increase cancer awareness and education in Madison County as individuals shop, dine, and visit local community businesses. Prior to the most recent donation, over $120,000 had been donated to organizations in Madison County to support the campaign’s mission.
With community at the center of the campaign’s mission, other key initiatives have been implemented over the past 14 years to ensure access to high quality cancer care services in Madison County. In 2021 the cancer care patient assistance fund was established in partnership with Baptist Health Foundation Richmond to support patients in their greatest time of need with medication, transportation, food and lodging assistance. In 2022, funds were granted to a local group of women who hand sew quilts for all new cancer care patients.
Through the continued generosity of the community, Paint the Town Pink continues to be a thriving campaign. The 15th Annual Paint the Town Pink campaign kicks off in October 2023.
