Visitor Guidelines for Baptist Health Paducah

Visitation:

16 years and younger must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
- Ambulatory testing and Diagnostic Imaging exams: Patients are now able to bring ONE visitor. Visitors may be asked to wait in areas outside of the department to accommodate social distancing.
- Inpatient (for non-Intensive Care (ICU) patients): Two visitors at a time is allowed between the hours of 6 a.m. - 9 p.m. One overnight visitor is allowed.
- Intensive Care (ICU) patients: Two visitors at a time between the hours of 7 a.m. – 9 p.m.
- Surgery patients: Two visitors may accompany surgery patient
- Emergency department: Two visitors may accompany the patient. If the patient is a minor, the patient may be accompanied by two parents or legal guardians. If the patient is a COVID-positive or rule out, the visitor must wear PPE and may not leave the room.
- Pediatric surgery patients: Two visitors may accompany the patient under 18 years of age.
- End-of-life/Hospice patients: Flexible based on situation.
- Labor & Delivery: Four visitors may accompany the mother to L & D.
- Postpartum: Two visitors are allowed to accompany the mother to Postpartum. The visitors are strongly encouraged to stay in the postpartum room during the entire stay and to minimize time in hallways and common areas.
- Nursery and NICU: Mother and support person (two bracelet holders).
- Clergy: Clergy visits allowed upon patient/family request at any time.
These guidelines are subject to change as recommendations evolve.
Baptist Health Medical Group, which includes medical offices and Baptist Health Urgent Care locations, is not currently limiting visitors per patient.
Visitors must wear the appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when visiting isolated patients to ensure safety during the entire visit.
