Volunteering at Baptist Health Lexington
Our volunteers are an incredibly valuable part of the Baptist Health Lexington healthcare team. We believe that our volunteers steward the patient experience and proudly represent the values of Baptist Health: Integrity, Respect, Compassion, Excellence, Collaboration, and Joy!
From being the first face of welcome when you enter our hospital campus or at Baptist Health Hamburg, our volunteers reflect the culture of care and hospitality that makes Baptist Health Lexington a special and gifted team. Hospitals provide essential services to countless patients, and our volunteers play an important role in making Baptist Health Lexington an institution of whole-person wellness not just treatment management.
Whether it is wayfinding, providing updates with patient care, visiting with patients and guests, or simply working to assist with daily operations, we have a spot for YOU on our Volunteer team! Baptist Health Lexington has been fortunate to have over 225 adult, college, and high school volunteers who contribute to several thousands of hours of service each year. Most volunteers give an assigned area four hours or more per week, with at least six months of service to their specific department

Baptist Health Lexington Auxiliary
The Baptist Health Lexington Auxiliary, founded in 1953, is the service organization connected with many of our volunteers. The Auxiliary serves as a major fundraising arm of the hospital. All proceeds from our gift shop and fundraising sales are donated back to the hospital to purchase updated equipment and fund special projects to further the reach of our care with excellence. Our auxiliary volunteers have stewarded and given millions of dollars back to the hospital for several decades. Serving opportunities with our Auxiliary Board are available for active volunteers.
