Diabetes is a complex condition with sometimes-unforeseen consequences. At Baptist Health, we treat diabetes in every possible setting whether inpatient, if a medical complication arises, or outpatient, with educational classes and other therapies to help you tackle a lifelong health factor.

People with diabetes may require hospitalization based on complications resulting from their condition or for reasons of testing, observation, or treatment of an unrelated health issue. 

If you have diabetes and are hospitalized, be sure to let the medical staff know about your condition. Our diabetes nurse educators will visit you during your hospital stay to help you incorporate healthy management of your diabetes including local resources or getting involved in one of our many diabetes education programs.
