Here at Baptist Health, we believe in a comprehensive care of cancer,

and what that means is care with chemotherapy, comprehensive radiation oncology, immunotherapies,

hormonal therapy if necessary, or even targeted therapy, which is fairly new.

So, early detection is important because that would cater towards our early forms of treatments,

such as surgery or radiation before it spreads.

And we do offer mammograms as well as our CT chest, which is specifically for lung cancer.

So, there's two nurse navigators.

There's the lung cancer and a breast cancer, who assists patients through the surgical process

as well as the chemotherapy process, and they follow up and are available for any other

supportive treatments, or even just conversation, talking.

All of the standard-of-care treatments and therapies are actually here in Corbin,

which is what's important for patients so they can spend more time with their families as opposed

to time traveling.

It's pretty impressive that we are able to treat all these patients in a small city like Corbin and still

provide up-to-date and standard-of-care treatment.

So, there's really no reason to go to a larger city to get cancer care treatment.
