Baptist Health Richmond achieves accreditation with ACHC
RICHMOND, KY (January 15, 2025) – Baptist Health Richmond proudly announces it has achieved accreditation through Accreditation Commission for Health Care (ACHC), a nonprofit organization that has stood as a symbol of quality and excellence since 1986 and recognized by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS).
Accreditation is a process through which healthcare organizations demonstrate compliance with national standards. Accreditation by ACHC reflects an organization’s dedication and commitment to meeting standards that facilitate a higher level of performance and patient care.
“This prestigious accreditation demonstrates our team’s commitment to excellence,” said Greg D. Gerard, president of Baptist Health Richmond. “Earning ACHC accreditation is a significant achievement that recognizes and honors our commitment to providing safe, quality and compassionate care to our patients in the communities we serve.”
“We have not only achieved accreditation, but we have done so with the highest level of success,” said Belinda Corder, director of Regulatory Affairs and Emergency Preparedness at Baptist Health Richmond. “ACHC’s accreditation validates our hospital’s commitment to abiding by rigorous federal standards and maintaining clinical excellence, not just once every three years, but every single day.”
