Baptist Health Paducah's Craig J Beavers awarded 2025 Distinguished Cardiovascular Team Member

(PADUCAH, KY) March 14, 2025Craig J. Beavers, PharmD, BCCP, BCPS-AQ Cardiology, CACP, FACC, has been awarded the 2025 Distinguished Cardiovascular Team Member by the American College of Cardiology in honor of his remarkable contributions to the cardiovascular profession. Beavers will be recognized for these achievements along with all 2025 CV Distinguished Award winners during Convocation at the American College of Cardiology’s Annual Scientific Session (ACC.25) taking place March 29 – 31, 2025, in Chicago.

“I am honored to recognize Craig Beavers as the Distinguished CV Team Member,” said ACC President Cathleen Biga, MSN, FACC. “Beavers has demonstrated exceptional work that will further the ACC’s mission to transform cardiovascular care and improve heart health for all.” 

The Distinguished CV Team Member is awarded to a non-physician member of the American College of Cardiology whose outstanding contributions to college initiatives and the field of cardiology have encouraged and nurtured the ACC's team approach to cardiovascular care. 

Beavers is the Vice President of Operations for Baptist Health Paducah and an assistant adjunct professor with the University of Kentucky College of Pharmacy. He previously served as the cardiovascular clinical pharmacy coordinator at UK Healthcare. 

A respected leader in his field, Beavers has published numerous papers, abstracts, and textbook chapters with a focus on cardiovascular pharmacotherapy and has provided extensive service to various cardiovascular and pharmacy professional societies. He is board-certified in pharmacotherapy with added qualifications in cardiology and is a certified anticoagulation care provider. He is also a fellow of several professional organizations.

This year, 21 Distinguished Awards will be presented at ACC.25, recognizing cardiovascular professionals who have made outstanding contributions to the field. Recipients are nominated by their peers and then selected by the American College of Cardiology Awards Committee.

ACC.25 will take place March 29 – 31, 2025, in Chicago, bringing together cardiologists and cardiovascular specialists from around the world to share the newest discoveries in treatment and prevention.
