Baptist Health Paducah Presents Rhythm of the Heart
(PADUCAH, KY) March 11, 2025 – Baptist Health Paducah is encouraging a proactive approach to heart health by hosting Rhythm of the Heart in collaboration with Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. This free heart health screening and educational event will be held Saturday, March 22, from 9 a.m. to noon at Symphony Hall, formerly Walter Jetton School. The community is encouraged to attend.
The Rhythm of the Heart event reflects Baptist Health Paducah’s ongoing commitment to supporting heart health awareness and providing life-saving education to the community. Heart disease is the #1 killer in Baptist Health’s service areas across Kentucky and southern Indiana. Tackling heart disease is a top need identified by Baptist Health Paducah in its community health needs assessment.
This unique community event offers complimentary heart screenings, giveaways and expert education designed to help attendees learn about risk factors for heart diseases and ways to prevent cardiovascular disease. Attendees will have the opportunity to speak with physicians from Baptist Health Paducah including vascular surgeon including Dr. Griffin Bicking; electrophysiologist, Dr. Vedran Oruc; and primary care physician, Dr. Teri Stapleton. Heart-healthy snacks and coffee will be available for guests as well.
Screenings and educational opportunities include:
- Blood pressure screening
- Cholesterol testing
- A1c testing
- Urine albumin-creatinine ratio screening
- Heart rhythm screening
- Heart failure education
- Bystander CPR education
