Baptist Health Louisville ranked among Kentucky's Best Hospitals by U.S. News & World Report
LOUISVILLE, KENTUCKY (July 16, 2024) – For the eighth consecutive year, Baptist Health has a hospital ranked among the top five in Kentucky, with Baptist Health Louisville tying for the #3 spot in the 2024-25 U.S. News & World Report Best Hospitals listings.
Hospitals awarded a “Best” designation excelled at factors such as clinical outcomes, level of nursing care and patient experience.
Baptist Health Louisville was also listed as #1 in Metro Louisville – the 11th time the hospital has topped or tied for that spot – and listed as “Recognized in the Bluegrass Region.” In rankings by state and metro area, U.S. News recognized best regional hospitals based on high performing rankings across multiple areas of care.

For the 2024-25 rankings and ratings, U.S. News evaluated about 4,500 hospitals nationwide in 15 specialties and 20 procedures and conditions.
Baptist Health hospitals also earned high performing rankings in several adult procedures and conditions:
- Baptist Health Corbin: kidney failure and pneumonia.
- Baptist Health Floyd: heart failure and colon cancer surgery.
- Baptist Health Hardin: heart failure.
- Baptist Health Lexington: chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), colon cancer surgery, heart attack, hip replacement, knee replacement, leukemia/lymphoma/myeloma.
- Baptist Health Louisville: abdominal aortic aneurysm repair, aortic valve surgery, COPD, colon cancer surgery, heart attack, heart bypass surgery, hip replacement, knee replacement, leukemia/lymphoma/myeloma.
- Baptist Health Paducah: COPD, heart attack, heart failure

The U.S. News Procedures & Conditions methodology incorporated new data this year on care provided to patients with Medicare Advantage insurance and on care provided to outpatients which nearly doubled the number of patients considered in the annual analysis
