Guardian Research Network

The Guardian Research Network is a nationwide consortium of high-performing community health systems, including Baptist Health, that created a breakthrough platform for accelerating cures for cancer.  Its searchable database houses hundreds of thousands of cancer patients' medical records. The network's objectives are to identify and place patients into clinical trials as fast as possible, cutting weeks and sometimes months off of enrollment timelines.

Many of Baptist Health's hospitals participate in those studies.

The Grail Study

The Grail study is the first trial launched by GRN and its partners. The study is designed to answer whether a blood test can be created to enable early detection of cancer. Participating hospitals include Baptist Health Lexington, Baptist Health Louisville and Baptist Health.
