Corbin PGY1 Pharmacy Residency
The Baptist Health Corbin PGY1 Pharmacy Residency Program prepares pharmacists to assume clinical pharmacy positions. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, disease state management, interdisciplinary patient care, drug policy development and implementation, and education of pharmacy students, patients and healthcare providers.
In addition to inpatient clinical activities, this program in an acute care community hospital setting will engage each of our residents in a large variety of transitions of care activities and a variety of ambulatory care clinic experiences. The residency is structured and administered in a manner that facilitates the professional growth of each resident through achievement of the following desired program competencies: 1) patient care, 2) advancing practice and improving patient care, 3) leadership and management, and 4) teaching, education, and dissemination of knowledge.
