Know Your Screenings: Infographic
Although breast cancer screening cannot prevent breast cancer, regular screenings are critical in detecting and treating breast cancer early. The United States Preventive Services Task Force (USPSTF) recommends that women who are 50 to 74 years old and are at an average risk for breast cancer get a mammogram every two years. The decision to start screening prior to age 50 years should be an individual one. Talk to your doctor about which breast cancer screening tests are right for you, and when you should have them.
