See a Doctor Online with Virtual Care eVisits

Why Virtual Care?

If you’re sick, or think you’re sick, take advantage of Baptist Health Virtual Care in an effort to minimize unnecessary visits to your provider’s office. This can decrease the spread of illness and/or infection of many conditions, including COVID-19 (Coronavirus). You can securely connect with a Baptist Health provider through your smartphone, tablet or computer through an eVisit. The provider will evaluate your symptoms, diagnose you, and provide treatments and/or prescription orders, all online and without an appointment!

What is an eVisit?

Baptist Health Virtual Care eVisits are an easy way to connect with a provider online, without an appointment. An eVisit allows you to connect with a Baptist Health provider using an online, symptom-specific questionnaire while logged in to MyChart. This virtual appointment is not only convenient but also prevents the need for patients to come into the office, limiting the spread of diseases including COVID-19.

Benefits of Baptist Health Virtual Care

Baptist Health Virtual Care provides convenient access to urgent care video visits, eVisits, and scheduled appointment video visits for patients of age 2 or older, whether at home, in the office or while away from home.

Virtual Care video visits allow patients to experience a secure online provider visit via smartphone, tablet or computer within minutes via MyChart and Zoom.

When Should I use an eVisit?

An eVisit can be submitted 24/7. If submitted during business hours, you can expect a response within four to six hours. If submitted outside business hours, you will receive a response the next business day.

eVisits are only recommended for non-urgent health conditions. In addition, eVisits are also a safe and recommended option for those seeking screening for coronavirus (COVID-19) symptoms that do not merit an Emergency Room visit. Learn more about the Coronavirus and screening and treatment at Baptist Health here.

eVisits are only recommended for non-urgent health conditions such as:

  • Coronavirus (COVID-19)
  • Flu screening
  • Cough
  • Pink eye
  • Sinus problems
  • Urinary problems

In addition, eVisits are also a safe and recommended option for those seeking screening for coronavirus (COVID-19) symptoms that do not merit an Emergency Room visit. Learn more about COVID-19 screening and treatment at Baptist Health.

How can I pay for my eVisit?

During the current health crisis, this visit will be billed to your health insurance and no co-pay will be collected. If no insurance is found, a $30 bill will be sent.

Does my PCP respond to the eVisit?

No. We have a dedicated team of providers that will respond to these visits, much like going to an urgent care.
