Baptist Health Hardin celebrates upgrades with ribbon cutting at Brandenburg diagnostic center
ELIZABETHTOWN, KY (Dec. 18, 2024) – Baptist Health Hardin held a ribbon cutting today to celebrate recent upgrades which have taken place at Baptist Health Diagnostic Center in Brandenburg. The center, located at 100 Commerce Drive, has added new advanced diagnostic equipment.
“We are pleased to announce these upgrades to our diagnostic center in Brandenburg,” said Baptist Health Hardin President Robert Ramey. “These improvements allow us to better serve Meade County patients by providing access to the latest advanced diagnostic technology, and also demonstrate our commitment to delivering high-quality care close to home.”
The most recent upgrades include an overhaul of the X-ray room and new X-ray and Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) units. The new X-ray unit performs with lower radiation and produces sharper images for more accurate results. The new MRI unit offers a larger opening for patient entry to increase patient comfort and lessen anxiety. The MRI suite has also been outfitted with improved lighting.
This latest investment is part of ongoing efforts to upgrade technology at Baptist Health Hardin’s diagnostic centers. Since 2021, Baptist Health Hardin has invested more than $3.7 million in its Brandenburg diagnostic center. Upgrades include the renovation of the registration and waiting areas to allow for better patient flow, the addition of 3D mammography, and new ultrasound and CT scan units. A new DEXA scan unit is expected to be added in 2025.
“We are thrilled to bring these improvements to our diagnostic center in Meade County” said Bert Jones, director of Diagnostic Imaging for Baptist Health Hardin. “This enhanced diagnostic capability will significantly benefit our patients, providing them with the latest in technology and an overall improved patient experience.”
