Baptist Health Lexington Receives Healthgrades 2023 Outstanding Patient Experience Award

Baptist Health Lexington is one of only six hospitals in Kentucky to receive the award.

LEXINGTON, KY. (March 23, 2023) — Baptist Health Lexington is one of only six hospitals in Kentucky to receive the Healthgrades 2023 Outstanding Patient Experience Award. Healthgrades is the leading online resource for information about physicians and hospitals.

Patient experience measures reflect how patients felt about the care they received at the hospital and if they would recommend the hospital.

This achievement marks the sixth year in a row Baptist Health Lexington has received the award. The hospital has placed among the top 5% in the nation for Outstanding Patient Experience for four years in a row.

“We are so pleased to receive this honor,” said Chris Roty, president of Baptist Health Lexington. “It reflects our ongoing commitment to provide compassionate care in a safe environment that meets the needs of our patients.”

Healthgrades evaluated hospital performance by applying a scoring methodology to 10 patient experience measures, using data collected from a 29-question patient experience survey of the hospital’s own patients.

Survey questions focus on patients’ perspectives of their care in the hospital, ranging from cleanliness and noise levels in patient rooms to factors such as communication with doctors and responsiveness to patients’ needs.

Healthgrades has also recognized Baptist Health Lexington’s vascular, gastrointestinal, and critical care service lines with Five-Star ratings for 2023.
