Baptist Health Louisville to offer free, virtual support group for those diagnosed with breast cancer
A virtual support group for those diagnosed with stages 0-3 breast cancer within the last 18 months.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (Jan. 18, 2021) – Sharing our Stories (SOS) is a virtual support group for those diagnosed with stages 0-3 breast cancer within the last 18 months.
Participants will learn how to manage the side effects and challenges people face during treatment as they share in their stories and offer support. Various topics are discussed including:
- Coping strategies
- The value of peer support
- Late and long-term effects of cancer treatment
- Ongoing health and wellness
- Community resources and support
Survivorship Program Coordinator Crystal Labbato DNP, APRN, will be joined each week by experts and cancer support specialists from Baptist Health, as well as partners in cancer care from the community.
The group will meet virtually for six sessions on Wednesdays from 4:30-6 p.m. The first class will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 3.
There is no charge for attendance, but you need to register in advance. Participation will be limited to 12 members.
