Baptist Health Louisville stroke program earns national recognition for continued efforts in improving stroke treatment
Participation in program ensures patients get treatment that's in line with the latest science.
(Louisville, Ky.) Sept. 30, 2021 – The American Heart Association is recognizing Baptist Health Louisville nationally with the Get with the Guidelines-Stroke Gold Plus Award with Target: Stroke Honor Roll Elite and Target: Type 2 Diabetes Honor Roll.
With a goal like saving lives, it pays to keep on top of constantly advancing treatment recommendations and Baptist Health Louisville relies on the latest guidance from the American Heart Association. By participating in their Get with The Guidelines® program, its ensured that our patients get treatment that’s in line with the latest science.

The American Heart Association/American Stroke Association recognizes Baptist Health Louisville for achieving 85% or higher compliance with all Get with The Guidelines®-Stroke Achievement Measures and 75% or higher compliance with five or more Get with The Guidelines®-Stroke Quality Measures for two or more consecutive years and achieving Time to Thrombolytic Therapy ≤ 60 minutes 75% or more of applicable acute ischemic stroke patients to improve quality of patient care and outcomes.
Target: Type 2 Diabetes Honor Roll™ — A national honor roll program for hospitals participating in Get with the Guidelines® (HF, Stroke) to reinforce evidence-based guidelines with hospitals that qualify for a Silver level or higher Achievement Award in the related Get with the Guidelines Module. Hospital must be able to demonstrate at least 90% compliance for 12 consecutive months (Calendar Year) for the “Overall Diabetes Cardiovascular Initiative Composite Score” measure in the selected module.
